Why Choose a Shih Tzu?
The Shih Tzu is one of the most beloved companion breeds in the world — and for good reason. Here's what makes them so special.
If you're searching for Shih Tzu puppies for sale from a reputable breeder, you've come to the right place. Our AKC-registered Shih Tzus are bred for health, temperament, and beauty — not just appearance.
Hypoallergenic Coat
Shih Tzus have a long, flowing double coat that sheds very little, making them an excellent choice for families with mild dog allergies. Their hair grows continuously like human hair, so regular grooming keeps them looking their royal best.
Perfect Size for Any Home
Typically weighing between 9 and 16 pounds, Shih Tzus are the ideal size — sturdy enough for children to play with, but small enough to thrive in an apartment or a house. They adapt well to any living situation.
Gentle & Affectionate Temperament
Originally bred as royal lap dogs in ancient China, Shih Tzus live to give and receive love. They are gentle with children, get along with other pets, and thrive on human companionship. They are not a breed that does well left alone for long periods — they want to be with their family.
Long Lifespan
Shih Tzus are known for their longevity, with many living between 12 and 16 years. With proper care, a healthy diet, and regular vet checkups, your Shih Tzu puppy could be your companion for well over a decade.
