What We Cover

Our guarantee covers severe, life-threatening genetic defects that significantly alter the puppy's quality of life or lifespan. This is one of the strongest health guarantees offered by any Shih Tzu breeder in Texas — and it applies to every vet-cleared, certified Shih Tzu puppy we place. This includes, but is not limited to:

Severe heart murmurs that require surgical intervention
Life-threatening liver shunts
Severe genetic kidney disorders
Other major hereditary conditions diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian

Buyer's Responsibilities

To keep this guarantee valid, you must:

Have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking them home.
Provide routine veterinary care, including completing the vaccination series and annual checkups.
Maintain the puppy on a healthy, vet-approved diet to prevent obesity and related stress on joints.
Provide heartworm and flea/tick prevention as recommended by your vet.

What is Not Covered

While we strive for perfect health, certain common puppy issues and breed-specific minor traits are not covered under the life-threatening genetic guarantee. These include:

Common parasites (Coccidia, Giardia, worms) which are easily treated and common in puppies
Umbilical hernias that do not require emergency surgery
Undescended testicles
Minor bite alignments (underbite/overbite common in Shih Tzus)
Hypoglycemia (preventable with proper feeding schedule)

"We promise to be completely transparent with you about your puppy's health. We love these dogs like our own family, and we want nothing but a long, happy life for them with you."
